We believe so, if we make profits a part of the sustainability equation, but not the end goal. Put another way, profits are necessary to grow a company. But if the end goal is optimizing social capital, and reasonable profits are one part of an overall equation that does that, a lot of good things can happen.

We are in the process of filing to become a benefit corporation, where purpose and profit blend seamlessly. It's all about positive impact, measured against stringent standards. We didn’t think of it when we started, so it will be coming soon. 😬
