The Upper Right Matrix

Before you build, brand, plan, write content, or make any changes, you need to understand the internal logic you are operating from. This tool helps you discover your starting point using a simple but powerful 2x2 matrix based on the source of your meaning and our focus of attention.

Vertical–Your Source of Meaning

Are your values, decisions, and purpose guided by something beyond yourself (e.g., principles, tradition, nature, shared wisdom), or do you primarily look to your own experience or collective human reasoning?

Horizontal–Your Focus of Attention

Are you more focused inward (on self-awareness, personal development, and identity) or outward (on contribution, relationships, and the needs of others)?

Each of us tends to operate primarily from one of four quadrants. Not perfectly, of course, but for the most part. Understand, these are not labels or judgments, but lenses to help you see how you're showing up in the world.

The Upper Right: Quick Placement

A 60-second mirror, not a verdict. We’ll ask how often certain patterns show up, then plot you on a matrix: Horizontal = Focus (Self ↔ Others)Vertical = Authority (Human ↔ Higher Source).
This doesn’t change your score; it only helps name a possible tension if your result differs.
Your responses are anonymous on this page. This is formative, not diagnostic.
Axes: Horizontal = Focus (Self ⟵→ Others). Vertical = Authority (Human ⟵→ Higher Source).
